Academic Pathways at ProjectSend
Discover the different ways you can pursue your degree while growing in leadership, discipleship, and ministry experience.
At ProjectSend, students pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Christian Ministries, with the option to get a second major in a field of their choice, through California Baptist University’s online program. In addition to being supported locally through Valley Baptist Church. Whether you are beginning after completing an Associate’s Degree, attending community college concurrently, or pursuing a dual major, there are multiple pathways designed to help you grow academically, spiritually, and professionally.
COMMUNITY COLLEGE PATHWAY
Start Local. Prepare for Your Degree.
Many students begin their academic journey by completing their General Education requirements and earning an Associate’s Degree (AA) through a local community college such as Bakersfield College.
This pathway allows students to build a strong academic foundation while completing transferable courses that prepare them to continue their studies through California Baptist University in the CBU at Valley program.
After completing their General Education requirements, students can transition into CBU at Valley, where they pursue their Bachelor’s Degree in Christian Ministries while growing in leadership, discipleship, and hands-on ministry experience through Valley Baptist Church.
BACHELOR’S DEGREE: (CHRISTIAN MINISTRIES/MARKETPLACE)
Serving in the Church and the Marketplace.
For students who feel called to serve in the marketplace as well as in ministry contexts, there is also the opportunity to pursue a dual major.
Students can complete their Christian Ministries degree while getting a second major in another field offered through California Baptist University’s online program.
Some students may have the potential to complete both degrees within the same timeframe and at no additional cost, preparing them to integrate their faith with leadership in both the church and their future profession.
